Total and Reverse Shoulder Replacement in Park City
When shoulder arthritis or an irreparable rotator cuff tear no longer responds to therapy, injections, or activity changes, shoulder replacement is designed to relieve pain and restore the motion you have lost. Dr. Hatch performs anatomic total shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, and revision of prior replacements, and he performs them with the InSet® Shoulder System from Shoulder Innovations, a company focused exclusively on shoulder replacement. Replacement is never the reflexive answer. It is recommended only when your shoulder needs it, after nonsurgical care has been tried.
Total Shoulder Replacement
Anatomic replacement for arthritis in a shoulder with a working rotator cuff. Resurfaces the ball and socket to recreate the joint’s natural shape.
Reverse Shoulder Replacement
Designed for arthritis with an irreparable rotator cuff, complex fractures, and failed prior surgery. Lets the deltoid power the arm.
Shoulder & Elbow Care
Conditions Dr. Hatch Treats
Dr. Hatch treats the full range of shoulder and elbow problems, from a first-time dislocation on the slopes to advanced arthritis, starting with nonsurgical care and moving to arthroscopic repair or replacement only when the joint needs it. He also provides orthopedic trauma and fracture care for the Park City and Heber Valley communities.
Rotator Cuff Tears
Arthroscopic repair for tears that keep hurting or weakening despite therapy, plus care for partial tears, tendinitis, and biceps tendon problems.
Shoulder Instability & Labral Tears
Care for dislocations, labral tears, and recurring instability, from rehabilitation to arthroscopic Bankart repair or Latarjet stabilization.
Shoulder Arthritis
Every option from therapy and injections through total and reverse shoulder replacement, explained in plain language.
Shoulder & Elbow Fractures
Clavicle, proximal humerus, and elbow fractures, treated with a sling, surgical fixation, or replacement when needed.
AC Joint Separations
Shoulder separations from falls on the slopes or bike, treated with a sling and therapy or surgical stabilization for higher-grade injuries.
Elbow Injuries
Distal biceps and triceps ruptures, tennis and golfer’s elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome, and elbow trauma.

Broke my humerus and required surgery on an already compromised shoulder that had been rebuilt. Dr Hatch did a marvelous job, the care afterward has been exceptional. They are a terrific team and his PA, Rebecca, is the best! After 3 months I have more movement than prior to surgery. Highly recommend.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Hatch has been very professional and approachable since the 1st day we met. I felt confident in him as a surgeon and have been very pleased with the results of my reverse shoulder replacement. He, and his staff have been very supportive from pre-op, the surgery and all follow up visits. I highly recommend him!Posted on Google![]()

This was the second surgery Dr Hatch has done for me. First a torn bicep and the most recent a proximal humerus fracture. Both procedures went extremely well. Every aspect of the experience from pre-op to post care were great. Dr Hatch and his team are professional, caring and a real pleasure to work with. They take the time to listen and give excellent advice on what to expect and how to deal with the procedure.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Hatch has been helping me with my shoulders for about a year, and he is outstanding. He eventually performed surgery on my right shoulder, and I’m on track to having a shoulder that’s better than it’s been in years.Posted on Google![]()

Dr Hatch was friendly, professional and explained what he felt was needed to repair my shoulder. He talked to me before surgery. Great follow up. Reattach bicep. Rotator cuff, and bone spurs. I have recovered very well. Appreciate his quality work. I will be back for the other shoulder in time.Posted on Google![]()
